The Sunday 1s were well beaten by a strong Kenilworth Wardens side in the local derby at Glasshouse lane . Kenilworth won toss and batted first but were reduced to 55-3 before a 55 run partnerships ensued between Adie Sellar and Gregg Peebles who made 41 off 70 balls and 47 off 74 set the way for Mitch Lowe to blast 32 off 16 balls with 4 x 6s and an important 27 from Charlie Leonard to take the final score up to 193-8. Paul Rowe 2-29, Ant Wilkinson 2-41 Kotak 2-49 main wicket takers for the Wardens. In reply, they strolled to a 6 wicket success more than 10 overs thanks to opener Whitehall with 48 before an unbroken 81 run partnership by former KCC player, Steve Marillier, 82 off 85 8 x 4s, 2 x 6s and Kotak 26, took Wardens to victory. Charlie Leonard took 2-25 and Joe Haynes 2-41 for the Town. |
