The Town 3's secured their first League win of the season in emphatic style as they cruised to a 114 run win. Batting first, the side's star performer was Nigel Thompson who hit a superb 90 in the Town's total of 241. Chris Walsgrove added 31 and skipper, Luke Walton, made 30 whilst newboy opener Roger Kelsey hit 21. Byford took 3-50, Lewis 2-37 and Edwards 2-53 for the hosts. In reply, only Studley's Reeves showed any resistance hitting 50 as the Town's paceman, Ed Smith, ripped through the Studley line up to take 6-28 off 10 overs. Jonny Armstrong claimed 2-35 and Kelsey 1-20 for the Town, as the hosts collapsed to 127 all out with some 16 overs to spare. |
