The Town 1's and local rivals, Warwick, settled for a draw in their Bank Holiday Monday fixture as only 9 wickets fell during the day for 474 runs scored between the sides. Kenilworth batted first, after winning the toss and made an impressive 267-5 after good start from openers James Nason and Mark Wisdish who put on 70 for the opening wicket. Nason fell for 42 off 53 deliveries and Wisdish soon followed for 23. Then three promising partnerships formed of 47, 38 and 33 then followed, thanks to contributions from Joe Haynes with 28, a fine 55 from in form Dave Edmunds but the side's final total was achieved courtesy to some hard hitting from Mitch Lowe who scored 86 from 54 deliveries with 6 x 4's and 7 x 6's including 22 off one over from former Kenilworth player James Wynn Evans. Lowe put on 70 run partnership for the 6th wicket off 49 balls with Adie Sellar who contributed 5. For Warwick, Lee Skrypchuk took 2-45, James Wynn Evans 2-87 and Paul Coleman 1-35. In reply, they were never on the pace for victory despite being 113-3 thanks to a 96 run 3rd wicket partnership between captain Jamie Coleman who made 45 and Ross Briscoe who made 69. It was left to Sam Dabin and Adie Passey with 27 and 23 respectively in a partnership of 52 off 48 balls to take Warwick to a final total of 207-4. For Kenilworth, the wickets were shared around as Charlie Leonard took 1-43, Gregg Peebles 1-15, Geoff Edmunds 1-42 and Mitch Lowe 1-50, as 6 different bowlers were used. Kenilworth 15 points, Warwick 10.
