The 3’s rounded off a great Saturday for the Club by achieving their first win of the season with a clinical 7 wicket win against Rushall who struggled against another Town spin duo. After Indy Matharu and Gareth Knights had picked up a wicket each, it was spinners Colin Goodall and Roger Kelsey who teamed up and ripped through the Rushall side as they were skittled out for 124. Goodall took 5-27 of 11 overs whilst Kelsey weighed in with a fine 3-22 from 13 overs. It took the Town 3’s just 22 overs to reach the winning post after keeper Matt Gledhill had blasted 63 hitting 9 boundaries and 2 sixes in his knock. Skipper Nigel Thompson made an unbeaten 31 and Andy Dadswell 10 not out eased the 3’s home as the side reached 125-3
